Qasr Al Hosn
The historic fort will open its doors to the public this February, as the Qasr Al Hosn Festival returns to Abu Dhabi to celebrate centuries of heritage, history and Emirati culture and tradition.
The symbolic birthplace of the capital of the UAE, for generations Qasr Al Hosn housed the ruling Al Nahyan family as the city developed over the years. Today, the fort represents centuries of Emirati history and culture, and the festival is held annually to celebrate the UAE and its identity, and to honour the UAE’s founders and their visionary leadership.
This year’s festival will present the outcome of the Conservation Management Plan for the urban block of Qasr Al Hosn including the Fort, the National Consultative Council, and the Cultural Foundation Building.
